Tim Devlin joins as the Global 3D Digital Principal and Chelsea Snyder as 3D Consultant!

Tim Devlin

Tim Devlin brings over 10 years of retail industry experience, with 5 years dedicated to the advancements of 3D digital product creation. Tim worked as a Global Buyer at Columbia Sportwear before being promoted to leading their Digital Innovation and Digital Strategy practice. He is a thought leader in the 3D digital space where he regularly appears as a public speaker, and he was the co-writer of a published research study on the topic of standardization using comparative analysis of fit. He is passionate about embracing 3D digital capabilities to make the industry more sustainable, customer-centric focused, and less wasteful.

Before joining TPC, Tim developed his love for 3D digital capabilities in the fashion industry through consultative work at Intel on the UI and UX for wearables. He introduced 3D digital prototyping into Columbia Sportwear’s processing and led the 3D practice for the $6.59B company. Referring to himself as a technologist, Tim is excited about innovation and hands-on breakthroughs in technology. He managed the Innovation Centre at Kalypso in a previous role where he spent much of his spare time on the research and development of academic studies in the 3D practice. His depth of experience, knowledge, and technical capabilities around the exciting 3D transformation pillar will complement our growing team of passionate retail veterans who hold the same values.”

As the new Global 3D Digital Practice Lead, Tim is delighted with his transition from industry to consulting, seeing it as an opportunity to serve a greater number of retailers on their 3D transformation journey. Tim says, “I believe every retailers’ scenario is unique and requires an agile, passionate, and knowledgeable team, just like the one here at TPC!” Tim is a self-proclaimed outdoor enthusiast and is looking forward to combining this with his passion for technology innovation to make a lasting change in lifting the entire industry, while also promoting and implementing the vast sustainable benefits of 3D digital practices.

Thought Provoking Consulting also welcomes Chelsea Snyder as a 3D Consultant. Chelsea joins with over 5 years’ experience in the 3D digital innovation industry. Chelsea will be a process mentor responsible for collaborating with TPC clients during their product creation journey, providing technical expertise and tactile support in areas such as Prototype Creation.

Chelsea is an accomplished 3D expert, who is passionate about learning and sharing her knowledge. In her previous role as a Professor of a leading design school, Chelsea Snyder created and implemented the first-ever US university curriculum for the 3D design tool CLO3D. She has witnessed first-hand how quickly the next generation workforce embraces and learns these new intuitive softwares. Chelsea whole heartedly believes that these 3D design tools will revolutionize the design process.
